PRODUCT OVERVIEW: Facial cleanser sensitive skin is specifically formulated for more sensitive skin types and for those who are using multiple products containing AHA or BHA. Sometimes it is a good idea to leave the usage of glycolic acid to other product types and leave the daily cleansing to a non glycolic product. Works well with all skin types.

Although pH is very important when considering a facial cleanser and its sensitive nature, the percentages of soap contained is more critical. This product uses the combined functions of two less irritating surfactants as its active cleansing ingredients (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate and Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate). In addition, the process of using either less product and more water (as noted below) can further reduce the potential for irritation on the skin.
         
Please inform your clients to test the different methods of application since no skin reacts the same. The important part to remember is that additional water and less product will dilute the surfactant further and decrease the amount of soap that contacts the skin. The instructions below will give ideas on how to customize for even the most sensitive skin types.

STARTER GUIDELINES

Normal Skin: With a dry face and dry hands, place a quarter size amount into the palm of your hand and lightly lather. Gently apply both hands to face and with a gentle circular motion, cleanse face. After one - two minute rinse with cool water. Repeat if necessary.

Dry Skin: With wet face and hands, place a dime size amount into the palm of your hand and lightly lather. Gently apply both hands to face and with a gentle circular motion, cleanse face. After one minute rinse with cool water. Do not repeat. 

Oily Skin / Acne: With dry face and hands, place a quarter size amount into the palm of your hand and lightly lather. Gently apply both hands to face and with a gentle circular motion, cleanse face. After one - two minutes rinse with cool water. Repeat if necessary.

Combination: With a dry face and wet hands, place a quarter size amount into the palm of your hand and lightly lather. Gently apply both hands to dry face and with a gentle circular motion, cleanse face. After one - two minutes rinse with cool water. In areas that require additional cleansing, repeat if necessary.

Sensitive Skin: With a wet face and wet hands, place a dime size amount into the palm of your hand and lightly lather. Gently apply both hands to face and with a gentle circular motion, cleanse face. After one minute rinse with cool water. Do not repeat.
