PRODUCT OVERVIEW:  AHA 3 Facial Cleanser offers a wide range of flexibility across all skin types for the skin care professional. If you follow a few simple steps and understand the active ingredients and their role, confidence and success will come easy. 

AHA 3 Facial Cleanser contains the following important active ingredients: 13% soap and 3% Glycolic acid. These two ingredients work together to accomplish two important functions. First, the action from a dual combination of soaps (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate & Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate), actually work better then one single type and allows for an easy removal of skin surface contaminants.
 
The second active ingredient, glycolic acid, will help break away the natural proteins (desmosomes) that are holding corneocytes on the outermost layers of the skin and with continued use, will prep the skin for the eventual use of products that contain a higher percentages of AHA or BHA acid.     
    
Slight tingle may occur and is a normal reaction caused by glycolic acid entering the skin. Flush with water if tingling becomes uncomfortable and follow ‘Sensitive Skin’ protocol below. Sometimes new users to glycolic acid either need to get accustomed to the tingle of the glycolic acid working on the surface of the skin.

STARTER GUIDELINES

Normal Skin: With dry face and hands, place a quarter size amount into the palm of your hand and lightly lather. Gently apply both hands to dry face and with a gentle circular motion and cleanse face. After one minute rinse with cool water. Do not repeat.

Dry Skin: With a wet face and hands, place a quarter size amount into the palm of your hand and lightly lather. Gently apply both hands to wet face and with a gentle circular motion, cleanse face. After one minute rinse with cool water. Do not repeat. 

Oily Skin / Acne: With dry face and hands, place a quarter size amount into the palm of your hand and lightly lather. Gently apply both hands to face and with a gentle circular motion, cleanse face. After one - two minutes rinse with cool water. You may repeat if necessary but is normally unnecessary.

Combination: With dry face and wet hands, place a dime size amount into the palm of your hand and lightly lather. Gently apply both hands to face and with a gentle circular motion, cleanse face. After one - two minutes rinse with cool water. Do not repeat.

Sensitive Skin: Sensitive skin types may need to mix 50/50 with facial cleanser sensitive skin to acclimate skin type to this product. With a wet face and wet hands, place a dime size amount (straight product or mix) into the palm of your hand and lightly lather. Gently apply both hands to wet face and with a gentle circular motion, cleanse face. After one minute rinse with cool water. Do not repeat.
